Millwork

Panelled Hallway Millwork

Panelling and moulding turning a plain corridor into the most finished room on the floor.

Hallway with white wall panelling, layered mouldings and a dark console table

Project type

Millwork

Wall panelling, deep skirting and layered mouldings carried through an entry hall to give a plain corridor architectural detail.

Hallways are usually the last room to get any attention and the first one every visitor walks through. Panelling changes that for comparatively little, because the work is all in the setting out rather than in the material.

Panel heights were set against the doors and the ceiling so the lines carry through the whole hall, and the profiles were milled to suit the age of the house rather than bought off a rack.
